– Try to walk dogs before dark
– Bring cats indoors early
– Build a ‘den’ or safe space for your pet to take cover in when they feel frightened
– Close windows and curtains to help muffle the flashes and bangs
– Play music or the TV to the help distract from the outdoor noises
Many animals suffer from severe sound phobias and unfortunately for them the firework season seems to extend from October to the New Year these days.
