Not everyone follows football but we all like a good news story and we should all be proud of the magnificent achievement of our local football team in securing promotion to the Premier League – it is a truly astonishing feat for a relatively small club and especially after facing extinction only a few years ago. I remember going to my first match to watch ‘Boscombe’ with my grandfather aged five and am only sad he is not here to behold this moment. Eddie Howe and the boys have made us headline news across the country and we can all bask in some glowing reports of not only the football club but no doubt our wonderful town and county :-). Big up the Cherries!
