We often showcase some of the bigger surgical procedures at Natterjacks but some of the most rewarding and challenging cases are in the hospital department where our exceptional nursing team work round the clock to save the lives of some of our most critically ill patients.
Billy was in intensive care with us for two weeks after succumbing to an exceptionally nasty strain of cat flu (despite vaccination only being a little late) and when first admitted as an emergency with pneumonia he was extremely weak and unable to breathe or swallow.
After a gruelling battle which proved to be a real rollercoaster ride – we discussed whether it was fair to continue treatment on several occasions – we were all absolutely thrilled to remove Billy’s feeding tube last week and sign him off from treatment for good!
