VET – Fran Garcia Fuentes

Fran moved to Dorset in the autumn of 2017 after hearing so much about the many virtues of the Bournemouth/Poole area from an old university housemate who made the area his adoptive home earlier the same year.   Fran has spent much time working with marine mammals and marine conservation so being by the seaside was an absolute must!

Fran qualified as a vet from the University of Madrid in 2016 before completing a Masters in Exotic and Wild Animals in 2017 whilst working at a Seal Rescue and Rehabilitation centre in the Netherlands.  He joined our team in November 2017.

As well as wildlife, Fran has a diverse array of clinical interests including ultrasonography, pathology and anaesthesia.

Away from work Fran enjoys diving, music and relaxing on the beach with friends.  Fran is an extremely likeable individual and his warm, personable nature is typically Spanish so it is no surprise that he is such a popular character 🙂
